Cory Lidle
New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle was killed today when he apparently flew a small plane he was learning to fly into a building in New York City today.
Owner George Steinbrenner’s statement:
“This is a terrible and shocking tragedy that has stunned the entire Yankees organization. I offer my deep condolences and prayers to his wife, Melanie, and son, Christopher, on their enormous loss.”
